The Wonderful World of Grey Home Decor

So many colours are fascinating and for various reasons. Some colours for their calming powers, others for their vibrancy or for the way they light up a room. The colour grey however doesn’t traditionally fit into any of these categories and yet it still manages to remain one of the most popular choices for decoration trends.

The daring amongst us may go for a dark grey, such as this farrow and ball colour Downpipe. With its blue-black undertones it risks being hard looking. However when complimented with lighter colours, in an airy and light filled space, instead of being overpowering it becomes a bold, enchanting and fabulous choice for walls and cabinetry.

As both the furniture and walls have brown undertones they create a sense of warmth when paired together.

Our Admiral range has a slight blue hue to its shade of grey. Blue as a colour on its own can freshen up any room and is why it is so often used in kitchens or bathrooms as it promotes a feeling of cleanliness and tranquillity. A grey shade with blue undertones can achieve the same affect but with a less conspicuous result allowing you to pair with other colours within a similar palette.

Most people tend to choose a neutral wall shade and add splashes of colour to bring a room to life.
